Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to my new best friend: jet lag. Yes, that's right, the unwelcome companion that has been tagging along with me on my far east adventure.

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But jet lag is no laughing matter!" Oh, trust me, I know. But when you're stuck in a foreign country, unable to sleep at night and nodding off during the day, you kind of have to find the humor in the situation.

Take for example, when I ordered a cappuccino at 10pm, because in my jet-lagged brain, I thought it was morning. The barista looked at me like I had three heads, but served me nonetheless. I was the only one in the café, sipping my coffee and feeling like a time traveler.

But, despite the challenges, jet lag has also brought some unexpected surprises. Like the today when I stumbled upon beautiful Wat Arun at sunrise.

So, if you're planning a trip to the far east, or any long-haul travel, be prepared to make jet lag your new best friend. Just don't be surprised if it leads you to some unexpected adventures.
